Perfectly mismatched part 1

She would never stop looking at his pictures. He was an average looking boy. There was nothing special about him. She was trying to find out what was so interesting about him that even after trying so hard she was unable to get over him. 

At the end, she couldn’t find the reason but she realized that it was her love towards him that kept her restless. She was feeling helpless because she knew that all that she had were memories of him only.

                  Four years ago

It was a pleasant winter morning. She was running on the wet ground as the tournament would be held next month. She was very much dedicated to her game. Badminton was her passion and her first love. She has always imagined herself as a badminton champion. She used to dream that one day she’d play for the country and represent it on an international level! It was her one and only dream. While practicing, she’d imagine herself, wearing the blue Jersey, only to smile later!

Shrejali, her friend called her,” Meera, comeback. We are going for shuttle running. The Coach  is calling you”.

“I’ll take one more round” Meera said.

Shrejali said,” don’t stress over it so much, you’ll nail it.”

Meera stopped running and after a little stretching she went inside.

“Hey Meera! Do you know, today a new player will join our team. Everyone says he is quite good.” Shrejali said.

“Yes I have heard about him. Let’s see how’s he?” Meera smiled.
